100 pushups - a challenge started!

Push back the following six weeks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I will do my workouts at work, and that is why I have brought to the workplace sweat shirt and sleeveless Topi. No need to sweat ordinary working clothes and whip out kanssael?jien hajunystyr?it?, if a few drops of your workout progresses from the forehead is pressed. Shared joy is a multiple, so I have half forcibly recruited to the challenge of my colleagues. I wonder how many will remain alongside until the end?Aion

I got the first test, only a shame for two and a half pushups. How embarrassing, but the best starting point to determine whether a training program for the promise of really true. However, I reserve myself the right to change the style of men, women, push-ups, because the mind is a creeping suspicion of too big a piece of haukkaamisesta. The initial test because it felt surprisingly heavy. Muscles do not hurt, but they simply do not have the strength to push the carcass up! After a few painful puserruksen nothing happened. Once and for all.

I am a hundred push-ups site, the lowest caste. As I promised. Hauisten farm is probably satisfied in fat and a couple of paper-thin thread memory of life, then practiced sports. So I am one of less than five punnertaviin and club now has six weeks under the title of progressive training. I will not even take a look at what the advance is made in the next lesson, I do not needlessly harass me. It has been a kerralle then the surprise!

Pottery Painting Pops Up in Wilton

Budding Calders and Chilhulys now have a local Wilton studio where they can start their pursuit of artistic expression. Art on Fire, a paint-your-own-pottery studio, has relocated from Ridgefield to a bigger space at 991 Danbury Road, next to Toozy Patza.

Owner Joe Criscuolo is eager to welcome artists of all ages who want to paint, create and be elated with art.

“After five years in Ridgefield, we decided to expand to offer more things. We don’t want to be just a pottery place—we want it to be an art place. We wanted the opportunity for someone to come here and do something and just take it with them in that moment, like mosaics. Mosaics are a lot of fun—you spend 20 minutes to half-an-hour doing a craft and you have something to show for it immediately, and it’s quick turnaround gift giving.”

Perfect for the rapidly approaching holidays, Criscuolo is also offering a stocking-decorating craft as well.

Of course traditional pottery painting will still be a core project at the studio—glancing at the well-stocked shelves customers can choose from platters, mugs, animal figures and a seeming unending array of ceramics on which to unleash creative energy. Art on Fire supplies the paints, tools, kiln firing, expertise and music in the studio.

“Everything is individually priced, per item, and then we apply a one-time, $8 studio fee per painter. It’s not time based or item based. We don’t charge you any more than the $8, you can paint as many items during the time you stay there,” explained Criscuolo.

He noted that Tuesdays will always be “free studio time” and the $8 fee will be waived. “It’s something we do for customers who want to come in and paint regularly.” They’ll also have a Wednesday Holiday incentive, offering 50-percent off a customer’s entire check (ceramics and studio fee combined).

In addition to traditional kids’ birthday parties, Art on Fire hosts other kinds of gatherings.

“Senior citizen residential centers can have an outing here or we can bring things on-site. We do fundraisers in the studio for non-profit groups like the PTA or scout trips—we can put together auction items or donate 50 percent of the net proceeds of an event here.  Invite all your friends, we do all the work, they get a check, it’s a no-brainer,” said Criscuolo. “We also do corporate team-building and ladies’ nights, from 7-9p.m:  We cater the food, or we can do a wine tasting night, and you come in with everyone; we play some cool music, you chilax for a little bit and paint and have fun.”

The other major focus of the art studio will be after school and toddler enrichment programs, as well as summer camps. Criscuolo said the full schedule of programs for different age groups offers some extras.

“We provide free food and a safe environment and they can paint and socialize and have a great time. We also have a playroom that we’ve expanded so it allows kids to burn off energy if the painting isn’t doing it for them.”

BMW Debuts 2013 6 Series Gran Coupe

Sex appeal and seductive curves are not only for women but are looked upon as sought after characteristics for automobiles. One vehicle segment that has recently elevated the curvy-sex appeal of the automobile is the four-door coupe design commonly found on the Benz CLS, Volkswagen CC, Panamera and the Audi A7. BMW has never had anything to compete in this specialized segment until now.

BMW has officially introduced its new 2012 BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe sporting 4-doors with frameless windows, a continuous curved roof-line and exquisite interior luxury appointments. The new 6 Series Gran Coupe does not sway to far from the original BMW’s Gran Coupe Concept introduced last year. The new 2013 6 Series Gran Coupe will first make its debut stateside as a 640i model powered by BMW’s 3.0-liter N55 inline-6 cylinder turbocharged engine. The Gran Coupe’s N55 twin-scroll power unit will have an output of 315 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque. A new 650i Gran Coupe variant will be available afterwards offering optional xDrive all-wheel drive and powered by BMW’s 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 good for 445 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Both engines direct power through a new ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.

The new 2013 BMW Gran Coupe is much more than a 6 Series coupe stretched about 4.4 inches, it will embody a 4+1 seating configuration allowing a 5th passenger between the two outboard rear seats. All of the tech-gadgetry will be the newest offerings from BMW with the latest iDrive integration, a new generation color Heads-Up display, a trans-reflective Control Display mounted in a freestanding housing, and an optional Bang & Olufsen High-End Surround Sound System.

Look for the introduction of the new 2013 BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe to make an appearance in the flesh at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March 2012. Pricing details have not been released as of yet. For other additional information please hit up the official press release below.

2012 Hyundai Veloster

To hear John Krafcik tell it, the 2012 Veloster is just another Hyundai. Allow us to rephrase that. According to the company's North American CEO, the searing Vitamin C orange coupe shown here is something we should've seen coming, the predictable end result of the relentless innovators at his Korean employer.

Yet to be fair, even now, "innovation" isn't exactly the first thing that comes to mind when we think of Hyundai. But perhaps it should be. After all, this is the same company that's led the way with radical customer relations plans like Hyundai Assurance (income loss payment coverage and buy-back, guaranteed trade-in values, etc.) and brash products like the 2011 Sonata, which passed on cylinders five and six in favor of forced induction – to say nothing of its unique hybrid variant and brave aesthetics. From marketing to product, Hyundai has rather quietly built a solid case for itself as an innovator.

And yet... even though we knew it was coming, we still weren't prepared for the Veloster. Aggressive family sedan styling aside, we haven't seen Hyundai allow its design team to so comprehensively stretch its creative legs as we have in this little four-door coupe. Did we say four-door? Indeed we did. Following hatchback naming conventions of three- and five-door bodystyles, this tangerine bolide is actually a four-door. It's got a conventional, longish driver's side door and a traditional lift-up hatchback. But stroll over to the passenger's side, and things get deeply funky – there's a second aperture behind a subtly shorter front door. We've seen similar setups like this in the past, a rear-hinged demi-door to ease access to a tight back seat, but this isn't a suicide solution. The Veloster employs a normal front-hinged rear door, albeit one with the handle hiding in the gloss black C-pillar.

The Veloster's styling is as idiosyncratic as its door configuration – there's just a lot going on. That's thanks to front lights shaped like Parasaurolophus heads and a gaping lower air intake and fascia whose gloss black elements look like they're trying to push their way out from inside the engine compartment. We could do without the faux hood vents, but presumably these are placeholders for the still-unconfirmed turbo model.

Prominent fender blisters shroud standard 17-inch wheels (18s are optional, including one design with unique body-color spoke inserts), and gloss black A-pillars combined with a tapering fixed quarterlight give the greenhouse a racy 'helmet visor' look. The beltline is high, with visual bulk curbed somewhat by a lilting cutline down by the rocker panel.

The heart of the interior is the seven-inch LG touchscreen, which comes standard whether you pony up for navigation or not. The display governs everything from the base six-speaker audio system (which itself includes standard satellite radio, iPod input and Gracenote music identification) to vehicle settings and Bluetooth telephony. What's more, Hyundai has included an RCA cable so you can play videos from your smartphone or hook up a video game console when parked (a 115-volt outlet is optional). You can diddle with personalization settings like wallpaper, color schemes and varying welcome chimes, or opt-in to play fuel economy games that let you see how your performance stacks up against other Veloster drivers. No, we're not kidding.

That last bit is made possible by Blue Link, Hyundai's new embedded telematics system that doesn't require a tethered mobile phone. Like General Motors' OnStar, it's a subscription-based setup with tiered services. The most basic level, Blue Link Assurance ($79/year), bundles features like monthly vehicle reports with an SOS assistance button and automatic crash notification. The next Blue Link package up, Essentials ($179/year), keeps the aforementioned functions but adds services like remote door unlocking, advanced vehicle diagnostics, voice text messaging and location sharing through Facebook(!), along with a brace of safeguards like stolen vehicle slowdown, location and immobilization. There are even parental-minded items like speed alert, curfew alert and "geo-fencing," which will automatically text, email, or call when your little snowflake takes the car to a friend's house that they're not allowed to visit. If you pony up for the full-house Blue Link Guidance package ($279/year), it adds on services like traffic and weather, voice activated point-of-interest searches, restaurant ratings, and so on.

We simply didn't have time on our first drive to test – let alone master – all of Blue Link's capabilities, but what we did use was both self-explanatory and effective. We even called and used the turn-by-turn directions feature with on-screen instruction, and it almost makes the optional navigation system seem superfluous. Blue Link comes standard on all Velosters, and there's a free trial period so you can tinker around and see if you want to become a subscriber.

All of Blue Link's whizbangery would be for naught if the rest of the Veloster's cabin was a hateful place in which to spend time, but it's anything but. Controls are easy-to-reach, the steering wheel tilts and telescopes, gauges are clear, and we like the big, Honda Ridgeline-like grab handles on the doors. Overall, materials and switchgear are class appropriate or better and fit-and-finish is excellent. Our test cars issued nary a squeak or rattle – even over suburban Portland's ubiquitous neighborhood speed bumps. An optional panoramic moonroof floods the interior with light, and the standard all-cloth seats are comfy. (Leatherette accents in the buyer's choice of three colors are bundled with available tech and style packages).

That bonus rear door opens up to an unexpectedly usable rear seat, with plenty of knee and legroom, and enough headroom for sub-six-foot passengers to avoid claustrophobia, though taller friends will likely balk. The split-fold seatback isn't even overly vertical, and the bottom squab doesn't leave you eating your knees. The rear door is admittedly a bit on the smallish side, but it's certainly preferable to an even smaller rear-hinged door, as on the Mazda RX-8 – and not just because you won't get trapped in a parking space between two open doors. Negotiate the trunk's high liftover height, and there's even a surprisingly generous 15.5 cubic-feet of cargo space. How the hell did they cram all that in such a tiny footprint?

Range Rover Evoque in 5-door and Coupé forms goes on sale in September 2011

With a choice of three engines, two body styles, three design themes and a wide range of options and accessories, the new Range Rover Evoque offers customers significant choice across a range of price points.
Land Rover has announced that new Range Rover Evoque prices in the UK will start from £27,955 for an eD4 Pure 5-door 6 Speed manual 2WD model. The 4WD equivalent is priced at £28,705. The top-of-the-range Si4 6 Speed automatic Dynamic coupé with LUX pack is available for £44,320.

The Range Rover Evoque will be offered in both 5-door and Coupé forms and will go on-sale from September 2011. A smooth and refined powertrain line-up is available with a choice of state-of-the-art diesel or petrol engines.

The updated 2.2-litre turbodiesel has 150PS or 190PS derivatives. The 2WD (on-sale early 2012) Coupé version combined with the 150 PS 2.2-litre engine is set to achieve sub 130g/km CO2.

The new 240PS 2.0-litre Si4 petrol engine combines direct fuel injection, turbocharging and twin variable valve timing for exceptional driveability and fuel-efficiency and delivers 0-60mph in 7.1 seconds.

In place of a traditional trim hierarchy, customers can choose from three distinct design themes, which include many features as standard. A wide range of personalisation opportunities are also available, allowing customers to fully tailor the Evoque to individual tastes and requirements.

Options available include 12 exterior colours, three contrasting roof treatments, seven alloy wheel designs, 16 contrasting interiors and a full sized, fixed, panoramic glass roof. A new online configurator goes live today, making it simple for customers to create their perfect Range Rover Evoque.

The Range Rover Evoque is available in two body styles – a Coupé and 5-door. The Coupé provides two individual rear seats, with the option of three-seat bench if preferred. The Evoque 5-door extends the appeal of the model even further by offering greater practicality and family appeal. The roofline stands 30mm higher than the Coupé, which delivers extra head and shoulder room for rear seat passengers.

The Range Rover Evoque is available with a choice of powertrains, both petrol and diesel with six-speed manual and automatic transmissions, and, for the first time in a Range Rover, the option of 2WD (front wheel drive) as well as 4WD.
